Hall of fame seeks nominations

PHOENIX - The Wildlife for Tomorrow Foundation is soliciting nominations for the Arizona Outdoor Hall of Fame. The nomination deadline is 5 p.m. April 25.

Since 1998, the Outdoor Hall of Fame annually recognizes individuals and organizations that have made significant and lasting contributions toward Arizona's wildlife, the welfare of its natural resources and the state's outdoor heritage.

Selections for inductees are made annually by the Wildlife for Tomorrow Foundation board of directors, who review nominations that have been submitted.

To download a nomination form, visit, fill it out, and return it along with all supplemental materials to: Wildlife for Tomorrow Foundation; c/o Arizona Game and Fish Department; Attn: Ben Alteneder, DOHQ; 5000 W. Carefree Highway; Phoenix AZ 85086.

No, we mean the kind of wildlife you shoot and hang on the wall and makes us money. Not the kind that live in balance with nature and you just look at.

For over 6 years, I have sent in the form with pictures, information on events, etc. to nominate Sue Baughman. When I moved to Dolan Springs, AZ, I joined a group called Open Space Trails. Sue has had the vision to preserve some of the most beautiful areas out here. She brought together many nature lovers to complete a great trail system for hiking, etc.
If this note will at least get someone to look into the files for info. You can also research what her committee's have done over the past years with National Trails Day Events. Thank you for your consideration.
