Kingman Area School Retirees' Association: KASRA met at the Elks Lodge on March 27, 2012, for a luncheon and business meeting. Legislative Representative Duane Nelson reported on the latest news from our state organization after attending a meeting in Phoenix the previous day. Guest speaker Shannon Rossiter, director of the Mohave Museum of History and Arts told us about the new exhibits the museum has unveiled. The history of ranching and of mining in our area are showcased in these exhibits. Future plans include developing interactive exhibits for young people to enjoy, such as panning for gold and grinding corn. Also in the works is the designing of a "photo op" display indoors, something like the mural on the outside of the building, to attract visitors to come inside.
