Kingman Photos: Fathers Day Picnic Scheduled

Kingman Elks Lodge No. 468: Elks Lodge No. 468 will hold the annual Father's Day Picnic from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. June 16 at the Hualapai Mountain Park Recreation Area No. 1. Flag Day ceremonies will be held at 11:30 a.m.. The flags will be presented by the Kingman Fire Department Honor Guard. The Kingman Sheriff's K-9 unit will put on a demonstration after the flag ceremony, and then lunch will be served. The menu will be pulled pork sandwiches or hotdogs, cold slaw, drinks and a desert. The ticket cost will be $12 per adult/$8 per child under 12, and each meal ticket includes two drink tickets. After lunch, music will be provided by a local disc jockey, and various children's games with prizes awarded will be held. For information, call (928) 753-3557 or (928) 763-2547. Members of the public are invited to come. Special events for the coming week: The lodge needs volunteers for set up and cooking at the Fishing for Smiles event at 7 a.m. Saturday. The cooking unit will be loaded at 9 a.m. Friday at the lodge.
