Take Off and Keep Off Pounds Sensibly (TOPS and KOPS) recently held recognition of KOPS members. Susan Crews was mistress of ceremonies. TOPS members working to achieve KOPS status were in charge of the lovely ceremonies. The Candle of Continuity was lit by Rachel Thalrose, the longest-standing member - 12 years. April Senediak read a poem. All KOPS joined the Circle of Light ceremony. Roll call was by Susan Crews. Those honored by TOPS members working to achieve KOPS status: Rachel Thalrose: 12 years, Viola Emans: 11 years, Mary Ann Chwaszcwezki: 10 years, Patsy Brocnik: 10 years, Nancy Hilton: 9 years, Nancy Riddle: 9 years, Ruby Lee Dierks: 8 years, Danny Velderrain: 6 years, Laura Hignite: 6 years, Sylvia Schneider: 5 years (she also received her five-year charm), Dawn Calhoun: 4 years, Patricia Gnodle: 3 years, Bob Burns: 3 years, Dora Wolff: 3 years, Venita Barnes: 1 year, Barbara Cole: 1 year, B.J. Ridgewas: 1 year, Joan Jordan: 1 year, Shirley Buck: 9 months, and Eleanor Velderrain: 3 months. There was a closing song, "The More We Get Together," and Annie Hopping served refreshments of mixed fruits and punch. The Valle Vista Girls assisted.
