Reel Watchers: Olympus Has Fallen
Morgan Rose Wilson
Kingman resident

It was a typical normal day for disgraced ex-Secret Service agent Mike Banner - up until our nation's capital was attacked by foreign terrorists. The terrorists quickly and violently seize control of the White House and its occupants, code name "Olympus." President Asher, along with the vice president, the secretary of defense and other political higher-ups, are being held prisoner and tortured by the terrorists.

Banner, with the help of intelligence from the national security forces, uses his knowledge of the White House and fighting skills to remove the threat.

With the body count rising and time running out, it is up to Banner to rescue the hostages, reclaim the White House, avert a nation-wide disaster and redeem his own name.

"Olympus Has Fallen" is an edge of your seat action ride of a movie, a serious film with a few sprinkles of comedy thrown in. This film is a must-see for action fans or anyone who wants to spend an entertaining but nail biting two hours at the movies.

This film is reminiscent of the classic patriotic American action films, such as Die Hard series. Like John McClane in Die Hard, Mike Banner is the iconic hero who defies all odds (and numerous physical injuries) to stop the bad guys and save the day.

Olympus Has Fallen is not a kid-friendly movie. It is rated R for strong violence and language. I give this movie 3 and a half miners out of four.
