Kingman Police are looking for an inmate who escaped from custody before his hearing in Mohave Superior Court this morning. The inmate is identified as Darren Morrison, from Bullhead City, who was to appear on a failure to appear and aggravated assault charges.

Police believe his girlfriend may be helping him and that he may be armed at this point. They are also looking for a low-rider station wagon that was seen in the area at the time of Morrison's escape.

Anyone with information about this escape, or if you see Morrison or the suspect's vehicle, please call Mohave County Sheriff's Office at (928) 753-0753.

Darren, Darren, Darren... Not a good way to get in the judge's good favor. All you've done now is pretty much "guaranteed" yourself a prison sentence.

You know why this happened right. Mohave County hired correctional officers that had been written up from escape from the prison. Seems officers still can't get it right.

I too want to thank the Daily Miner for this heads up . Somebody at the Court House has some explaining to do . I just don't see how someone can escape custody these days .

Thanks again to the Daily Miner for being on the ball .

JEEEEZ! There are many children who walk to school alone. To have an inmate escape is INEXCUSABLE!

This is the kind of thing newspaper websites are for. I'm so glad the Miner informed us. I know we as parents can't do much, but it's nice to not find out after the fact in a slip in the kids' backpacks or a story in tomorrow's paper.

Thank you, Erin.
