Kingman Letter: Political donation a good investment

If anyone is wondering why Sheldon Adelson would donate up to $100 million to buy the election for Mitt Romney, there is a very good explanation - a $2 billion tax break over a period of four years and an 11,000 percent return on his initial $100 million investment.

According to CAPAF Director of Fiscal Reform Seth Hanlon, Romney's tax plan would help Adelson in the following ways:

"Cut top tax rates, saving Adelson approximately $1.5 million on his annual compensation as chief executive of his casino company.

"Maintain the special low rates on dividends, potentially saving Adelson nearly $120 million on a single year's worth of dividends, more than enough to recoup his political donations.

"Maintain the special low rates on capital gains, allowing Adelson to make back his political donations in capital gains tax cuts just by selling a fraction of his stock.

"Provide a tax windfall of an estimated $1.2 billion to Adelson's company, Las Vegas Sands Corp., on untaxed profits from its Asian casinos, as well as a tax exemption for future overseas profits. Adelson's casinos already enjoy a special foreign tax exemption from the Chinese administrative region of Macau, and Gov. Romney would make those foreign profits exempt from U.S. taxes as well.

"Eliminate the estate tax, potentially providing a staggering $8.9 billion windfall to Adelson's heirs."

This is the information's source: http://thinkprogess.org/economy/2012/09/11/825851/romney-adelson-taxes-bilionaires/

And this is the result for only one person. Add in all the tax revenue denied America from all the other millionaires, billionaires and corporations, and we are talking about trillions of dollars in revenue that America will never see.

I have mentioned in many of my previous posts that people like the Koch brothers, Adelson and other wealthy donors would want something in return from Romney for the millions they are donating to the Romney campaign, and many of you posters called me a hysterical puppet too blind to see the truth. Well folks, here is the actual truth - or are you too blind to see it?

"and call people such has him (those using pseudonyms) liars?"

go right ahead. i just consider the source. besides, if the election does not go as you wish you may disappear from here. you would be missed.

since the debate ended you have rarely let a day go by without referring to romney as a liar.
your overuse of the word is beginning to make it sound like parroting.

lol

Let’s turn this one over to the web-admin. Is FLS correct – are we allowed to malign, “belittle” and call people such has him (those using pseudonyms) liars? I can accept that and look forward to it. What is your decision?

@Ansons Nephew

No proof you give a single dime to the obama campaign. You might as well have claimed you give them a gazillion dollars a month.

And since it has been proven that leftists donate less to charity than conservatives, I am likely correct about your "giving side".

Of course, I could be wrong. You may feel it is important enough to ensure your affirmative action president is re-elected just to keep the check rolling in in the future. Sort of like the woman way back when claiming she would no longer have to worry about paying her mortgage or paying for gas because maobama won. LOL. Wonder what she think these days.

Parasites will always vote for anyone who promises them free stuff.

"WOW! I feel attacked, maligned and “belittled.” I’m willing to bet I couldn’t get away with saying that."

Sure you could. "Frank Lee Speaking" is not my real name so I am not "maligned" by what someone else says. And if i "attacked" anyone, it could only be Ansons Nephew. So get back to me after you have gone to court and legally changed your name to Ansons Nephew.

LOL

WOW! I feel attacked, maligned and “belittled.” I’m willing to bet I couldn’t get away with saying that.

Of course the poster is wrong – as usual – but we always expect that from the usual suspects who never have anything of substance to add to the conversation.

And still not one of the Willard the Money Hider supporters has come forward to admit to digging into their pockets to support their candidate. Odd how that works.

“you know what would be fun anson. a mature debate without resorting to name calling and repeated rantings with the same copy and pasted message”

How many times must I point out that I learned the fine art of name calling from Gasbag Limbaugh, Billo O’Olielly, InSannity, Mann Coulter, Botxo Malkin, Glen “I’m insane” Beck, et al, along with the usual suspects here. And as soon as they stop calling names, so will I. And please. No more of the childish response you usually post to this – okay.

As to cutting and pasting the same message – not sure what you are talking about, but if it has to do with questions I’ve asked I will continue until someone actually answers said questions.

And I notice that NOT ONE of the Willard the Money Hider supporters has shown up and admitted to digging into their pockets to fund his campaign. Why aren’t you addressing that point instead of knocking the messenger?

“Better get The New Leviathan and read and absorb it..”

Some books immediately set off your BS Detector making you wonder if anything printed between those pages could possibly be true. My BS Detector went off every few sentences as I struggled though this impossible tome on my Kindle. I had to keep referring to the end notes in an attempt to fact-check the crap Horowitz had written. And as suspected virtually every source was not a fact but some opinion piece written by a Right Wing Loon.

And then it was a laugh riot to find Horowitz using the completely discredited (at least by the Loons) Wikipedia. And of course close checking found quotations and statistics were taken out of context to “prove” the lies.

Once done I quickly deleted this piece of garbage from my Kindle to make certain it did not poison any of the “real” books I had there.

It is truly sad that people will read this piece of trash and actually believe it.

To Linda Athens:

I have a very legitimate reason for not reading Horowitz' book - the fact that you, Glenn Beck, and Sean Hannity recommend it is reason enough for me.

David Horowitz is the son of two American Stalinists who thought of themselves as secret agents. He is a tea party right-wing radical who says that liberals learned about politics at "commie camp." Do you honestly think I would believe anything he'd have to say? You can be paranoid and believe the trash he puts out, but don't expect sane and rational people to do the same or believe that anything he has to say even comes close to being the "truth."

Actually, Linda, it is Lori who is printing the truth and you are printing crap because Horowitz is a liar and his pathetic book has been blasted for being full of lies.

George Soros, Democratic Donors Contribute Millions to Super PACs

Prominent liberal donors, including financial guru George Soros, are ramping up efforts to support Democratic congressional nominees and President Obama’s reelection effort, doling out up to $100 million to independent groups supporting the Democratic Party’s election campaigns.

Soros - 100 Million. Hmmm!

Better get The New Leviathan and read and absorb it - this is only the TIP OF THE ICEBURG in wealthy left wing donors for obama and friends. Makes the right look like paupers. No comparison period. Big money is on the left - big, big, big money is going to far lefties.

Anyone foolish enough to believe in a one world government in this fragmented, tribal, racially divided, culturally divided world is amusing! All one has to do is look at history, no empire has been able to do this, even the Roman Empire which lasted about 2,000 years only ruled the known world not the whole world! We are a planet of 6 billion plus and growing, 1 billion muslims is a large group but even so they could not control 5 billion who did not want to be controled! Much as 2 million jews surrounded by 300 plus million muslims is a Alamo waiting to happen, they will need them 200 nukes one day very likely but the problem is when the exchange is done, them and their adversaries will be no more and all of us can enjoy that nuclear winter and global disaster! No wonder the bible says the time of tribulations will make mens hearts faint with fear, one cannot imagine global famine, global nuclear winter!

“what if zues ascends from the heavens and backs obamas campaign with unlimeted gold and lighning bolts. i mean if we are going down fairytale road.”

“Zeus” would actually DESCEND from the heavens, but the error is understandable since TeeHee’s favor the “gods” from below. As to the “fairytale road” it is common knowledge to those who actually pay attention that Sheldon Adelson alone has declared he will spend any amount necessary to unseat our president – and is doing so. There is also the question many of us have as to the Communist Chinese connection with Adelson and his monies that come from his Communist Chinese casino operations. And there are the Koch Bros hiding behind numerous fronts and dumping money into the effort to unseat our president. So there are no “fairytales” involved.

“and if romneys political donations are within the legalities of a presidential campaign...then what are you complaining about??”

I guess Lori, like many true Americans, is upset about the Citizens United decision handed down by the partisan Supreme Court. And in a similar vein, if the groups backing our president are also operating within the parameters of the law – why are they constantly whining.

In discussing donations I would like to ask the Willard the Money Hider supporters how much they have contributed to Willard’s campaign? We all know that Sheldon Adelson is willing to put up “whatever it takes” to remove Obama from office and it does not matter who the TeeHee nominee might be. After all he backed serial adulterer Lil Newtie Gingrich with millions. (Oh, BTW way, Lil Newtie is STILL not the nominee despite predictions form one of the usual suspects).

Back to the subject. How many of the Willard supporters have reached into their pockets to support the lying, anti-American sleaze? As full disclosure I should mention I have donated $200 (so far) to the re-election campaign of our president.

Lori:

You live in lala land. I have repeatedly directed you to Horowitz's book The New Leviathan where it is laid out in black and white that the Democrat Party has been completely taken over, lock, stock and barrel by so many far left liberal groups, it makes the Republicans you mention look like nothing.

Why do you print crap like this when you could get the book and read the truth? In every single area, liberal billionaire donations outnumber Republicans by the hundreds.

Environmental wackos for instance. Their group numbers and money is absolutely STUNNING and is the reason we cannot drill, can do not much of anything if there is a rat or owl hanging around. They direct the EPA for instance whose regulations strangle business.

Get the book and wise up or do you have some legitimate reason to be against truth?

To Concerned Citizen:

"Obama’s top five contributors are as follow: 1. University of California, $491,868 2. Microsoft Corp., $443,748 3. Google Inc., $357,382 4. DLA Piper, $331,715 and 5. Harvard University, $317,516.

"Obama’s campaign has received zero dollars from political action committees (PACs), while Romney’s campaign has received $838,481 from PACs. Romney has also self-financed $52,500 of his campaign in comparison to $5,000 in self-financing for Obama. Neither candidate has accepted federal funds."

For a breakdown of donations for both Obama and Romney, go to:

http://rockrivertimes.com/2012/08/29/presidential-election-obama-leads-in-money-polls-show-dead-heat/

Obama's five top doner's contributions are a far cry from a possible $100 million from just one individual donor.
