Kingman Letter: Country is not for sale

With regards to the opinion page on Sept. 25, I would like to congratulate the Daily Miner for printing and the artist who submitted the Obama/Romney flag presentation.

This truly shows not only how the president holds himself in such high esteem as to denigrate our country's flag, a flag that so many have fought and died for, a flag that depicts the very essence of our liberties and freedoms that our 50 (not 57) states, to this point, enjoy.

I think The Washington Examiner said it best: "Obama is a classic Chicago machine pol who thrives on rewarding himself and his friends with the spoils of public office and uses his position to punish his enemies."

Think back to his four years in office of the many things this man has done to undermine our way of life, our laws that were passed that he refuses to enforce, and to anyone with an open mind and common sense, the answer should be crystal clear as to who has our country's best interest at heart.

Mr. President, our country is not for sale at any price.

Sam Wise

Of course this is true! Why wouldn't it be? Obama and his goons refuse to shut off the invasion of our Mexico border. Then he uses the deportation statistics to make himself look good to the voters! (It's not too hard to figure this Obama guy out, if you aren't hypnotized by his flowery talk!)

"Our flag is burning in 20 countries - blame our weak president for their boldness."

Our flag has been burned around the world and even in our own country for over a hundred years. It has nothing to do with the president or being weak but nice try.

"What do they have to fear?"

Are you implying that we should run over every protester with a tank? That we should be shooting down all those who oppose us? That sounds like something Hitler would do.

"Obama, again yesterday, while campaigning, said we have "Al Qaeda on the road to defeat:" Tell that to the Ambassador and the other three dead men's families."

They are on the road to defeat. They are severly weakend. A lot more week than when they killed thousands in the twin towers on our own soil. It is tragic what happened but you can't just blame the president for everything. Terrorist attacks will happen and the fact they have been contained is a good thing.

"Yes, but on orders that were originally given by Bush, Obama simply re-affirmed Bush's original order."

So, you are saying that Two years after Obama took office Bush came in with NO authority and gave the order to Seal Team Six to kill Bin Laden? Interesting....and slightly out of touch....

"American auto industry on verge of collapse four years ago was saved. Hundreds of thousands of jobs saved".
yes, at a price tag for taxpayers. (http://blog.heritage.org/2012/06/13/morning-bell-auto-bailout-was-really-just-a-uaw-bailout/)

"Osama bin Laden killed".
Yes, but on orders that were originally given by Bush, Obama simply re-affirmed Bush's original order.

"95% of Americans paying a lower rate of taxes as compared to three years ago".
True, but at a cost to the future taxpayers, (http://money.msn.com/tax-tips/post.aspx?post=d22447c6-ad96-472b-8081-bdb08a4dae07)

"Al Qaeda decimated, leadership decapitated"
False, (http://www.usnews.com/news/articles/2012/04/30/in-wake-of-bin-ladens-death-al-qaeda-remains-lethal).

"Health care reform—no more refusal of coverage of preexisting conditions, children can stay on parent’s insurance until 26, closed prescription donut hole for seniors. More reforms to come".

Not totally true, (http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2012/jul/4/surprise-cost-of-obamacare-million-of-americans-of/?page=all).

Obama has done some good moves but the monetary cost of most of his decisions will hurt future generations for years to come, Demolib socialists don't seem to care about this.

If you missed Univisions expose of the Fast and Furious guns sold to Mexican drug cartels, only to be used to kill hundreds of innocent Mexicans, it can be seen at:

http://commoncts.blogspot.com/2012/09/univision-video-fast-and-furious-scandal.html

I may have already posted it and forgot. And now, we have yet another dead Border Patrol agent and one wounded. Barack Obama stood on the edge of the mountain in El Paso, stared into Mexico and declared all was well, the border was secured and we were now fine.

He had lowered the oceans, brought peace on earth...and secured our borders. Or maybe not!

The video is graphic showing young people being shot as they lay on the floor. Killed with Fast and Furious , this admins program.

I am assuming the picture is of obama not saluting the flag, but instead with his hand over his zipper?

Our flag is burning in 20 countries - blame our weak president for their boldness. What do they have to fear? We cannot even put adequate security around one lone outpost at, of all times, 9-11 - even when we now know the Ambassador requested more security repeatedly....and was denied.

Did you know, there had been 13 attacks on the Bengazi compound in the six months prior to his death.

Obama, again yesterday, while campaigning, said we have "Al Qaeda on the road to defeat:" Tell that to the Ambassador and the other three dead men's families.

In fact, Al Qaeda has spread from Afghanistan, Pakistan, Yemen to Libya, Syria, Mali, Nigeria and other parts of the middle east and Africa. This is what happens when you send the message you are a weak American potus and they have nothing to really fear.

Just another bump in the road obama? And as obama has the military down to the lowest it has been in decades, he plans to send $450 billion more to Egypt. Why is that? For what reason? The new muslim bhood president didn't even defend our embassy and Coptic Christians are being killed right and left.

So ignorant are Americans these days, it is pathetic they have no clue what is really going on.

More illegal immigrants captured and deported (more than 400,000) over the past 3.5 years than during the Reign of error of The Criminal.

American auto industry on verge of collapse four years ago was saved. Hundreds of thousands of jobs saved.

Osama bin Laden killed.

95% of Americans paying a lower rate of taxes as compared to three years ago.

War in Iraq ended with all troops now out of the country.

Ended DADT with no negative impact to the troops.

Tax credits for businesses that hire returning veterans.

Al Qaeda decimated. Leadership decapitated. Osama bin Laden dead.

Ended illegal torture otherwise known as waterboarding.

Health care reform—no more refusal of coverage of preexisting conditions, children can stay on parent’s insurance until 26, closed prescription donut hole for seniors. More reforms to come.

Financial industry and credit card industry reform which led to the formation of the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau.

And why do you feel that ensuring women receive equal pay for equal work is wrong? Health care for children is wrong? Regulations controlling the people who sent us into the economic morass are wrong? Enforcing fraud laws is wrong? Protecting Americans from the abuses of the credit card industry is wrong? Shutting down off-shore tax havens used by drug dealers and thieves is wrong? Providing criminal penalties for mortgage fraud is wrong? Adding additional loan programs for small businesses is wrong? Shutting off access to federal contracts by tax cheats is wrong? Cracking down on high seas piracy is wrong? Bringing about reforms in the student loan program is wrong?

Gee Sam I see your memory only goes back four years. You seem to have forgotten how Bush placed so many of his friends in jobs they had no experience for. Heck of a job Brownie comes to mind. Turn off the Fox and open up your mind. This country has been for sale for quite some time. Now citizens United makes that all legal.
