Kingman Letter: Relieved after Obama win

To all the Democrats out there, we have won again. Another four years of great improvement.

For all of those people who voted for Romney, I'm truly sorry you lost. I truly believe that if Romney had won, we would be in a total depression, middle and lower class would not have anyone working for them (due to being "takers") and our rights as women would not have stayed in place. I could go on and on but I won't.

Thank you, everyone, for voting and putting our president back into office. I am proud that President Obama served for four years and will now serve for four more years.

Frank Lee, if you really want to be the kind of man who wants to be fair, balanced and knowledgeable you'd expand your information sources.

You need to understand the comment about downgrading our credit rating again is based on the fact that the leadership of the Republican party indicated they will not budge on taxes. If you'd read the original S&P's downrating, you'd learn that it cited the Republican party's unwillingness to even discuss raising revenues through tax increases.

I started reading some of the comments but decided it would be far too depressing. It is hard to believe so many people in this area can not accept that our president and the "other" side love this country. I suspect the ones commenting here with such hatred are exclusive viewers/listeners of FoxNews, Rush and those lke them. These rabid citizens fail this nation by absorbing their half-truths, exaggerations and down right lies instead of fact checking watching/listening to an opposing viewpoint or reliable news source.

Thank you, Penny. I only hope all Americans can understand we must work together. FoxNews, Adelson, Trump, Rush, Hannity, and let's not forget, the Bush administration has brought this country to its knees. Good Luck, Mr. President and all our leaders who are willing to work to rebuild our nation.

Re: Papa Johns Pizza

Will you be part of the growing screech for a boycott of his business? That will really help the downtrodden oppressed employees who work for him. I am sure they will thank all of you comrades for it. LoL. In the real world, a leftist boycott of it would fail miserably, Remember Chick-fil-A?

"I said what I needed to about him (von Daniken) in order to sell my book"

So you were/are willing to use lying by omission and decieve people in order to achieve your goal(s). Got it. Rather unprincipled, don't you think? Glad you cleared that up. Are you now writing a book about president obama? It would explain a lot of what you say.

To Frank Lee Speaking:

You wrote, "You really believe that the rabble have the right to tell someone how much of what they earned they should be allowed to keep. He earned it."

The founder and CEO did create Papa Johns Pizza, but he, alone, did not earn that money. If it wasn't for his employees, there would be no business. THEY do the work that makes him his millions. And, most likely, he is paying them minimum wage so that HE can afford his mansion and to give away 2 million free pizzas (per the commercial). Think he could make all those pizzas by himself? And a boycott of his business sounds like an excellent idea.

By the by, there is nothing you can say that could hurt my feelings, because nothing you say is important. I'm sure you're hoping that whatever dumb remark you say to me is get my goat, but truth be known, it isn't. I just rack your comments up as insignificant rubbish and ignorance.

As for von Danniken, as I've said time and time again, I don't care what you say about him. I said what I needed to say about him in order to sell my book, and that was the end of it. If he's a fraud - so be it. But he's a very rich fraud, and since you always stick up for the top 2%, no matter how they get their money, you are actually defending von Dannifen.

Oh nooooooooo! Leftists boycotting a business. They will drive him into bankruptcy just like they did Chick-fil-A............oh... wait a minute. Will there be a national day of poutrage?

I think it will be a failure, like other liberal boycott efforts. Good luck with that.

She mentioned her belief in "saucer gods" quite some time ago and cited the book Chariots Of The Gods and its author, Erich von Daniken as being a big influence on what she believes. After reading up on the guy i informed her that he had been in prison for embezzling money from a past employer. He was also jailed for fraud and had to admit in open court that much of the "evidence" offered for his theories had been faked.

He suckered a great deal of people, including our own local liberal. I bring it up to embarrass her when I can. It also shows how easily she can be taken in by someone like that. But as a big obama cheerleader, that's obvious.

By the way, if you go to his website and click on "bio", all the facts about his jail time and court cases are, oddly, not mentioned. Gee, I wonder why?

Links to her hero fraud? You have the name, do your own homework.

“Did I hurt your feelings when I informed you what a fraud von Daniken is?”

Twice you have mentioned Von Daniken. I will now ask you where you found a reference to Von Daniken anywhere among the numerous posts here and since there are none why do you keep belaboring the point as if you have actually come up with something – which you have not? Please be specific, thank you.

Ovomit, better get busy with the economy. Here's the feel good story for today.

Last week the Bakery, Confectionary, Tobacco Workers, and Grain Millers International Union went on Strike against Hostess. They were told beforehand that if they did not agree to some concessions, facilities would be closed. The union decided to strike and that same day the company closed three facilities and put 627 union clowns out of work. The company's chief executive has further stated that "we will close the entire company if widespead strikes cripple our business"

I hope the 627 tossed out of work were all obama voters.

Papa Johns Pizza.

"36 million a year isn't enough for him to live on?"

Spoken like a true liberal parasite. You really believe that the rabble have the right to tell someone how much of what they earned they should be allowed to keep. He earned it. You have no right to it at all.

I know. Organize a nationwide boycott of his business. I'm sure that will work as well as the one against Chick-fil-A did..........Oh wait.....LoL

For the record, I don't like Papa Johns pizza. But that's not really the point here.

“The founder of Papa Johns Pizza claims that Obamacare is too expensive, so he will have to cut his employees hours to part time status so he doesn't have to give them health insurance.”

What is curious is that the mandate he’s so upset about does not take effect for more than year, so why the sudden whine on his part? I notified Papa John’s that because of the stand of the owner I will no longer be purchasing their product (and I REALLY like Papa John’s pizza). I realize they are all franchisees, but perhaps they should look for another franchise. I understand there is an upsurge in the nation of others letting them know the same thing. Wanta bet “Papa John” backs off?

Every corporate clown that pulls this crap needs to be told the same thing.

It would be truly interesting to watch if the White House were to tell these secessionist groups to “go ahead, leave.” And then point out that they would need passports, proper documents and up-to-date shots if they wanted to enter the United States.

That their states will be billed for the cost of all federal highway funds spent within the state borders over the past quarter of a century.

That all federal aid will be cut-off immediately including disaster aid.

And that all military and federal government offices, etc. will be pulled from the state.

Can you even begin to imagine Texas trying to make it without their military bases?

Oh, and of course no protection will be provided for the borders with either Mexico or Canada with the U.S. supplied fence being pulled down.

So leave – believe me, none of you will be missed.

No thanks, I will stay right here. By the way it is not 2 states, it is around 20.....Even NY & NJ. And if you knew anything, which you don't, you would know it is not state governments doing it, just people in those states. No state is "filing papers" to do it. I find it incredible you did not know that. Did you get your version from KOS or media matters? LoL

Here's what it really is. The ovomit white house website is set up to accept petitions from anyone. Once a petition has a certain amount of signatures, the white house is suppossed to respond. It's being done to make a statement and to annoy ovomit, nothing more.

Re: Saucer Gods

The really sad thing is that you really believe ancient aliens. were responsible for mankinds reaching this level of accomplishment. And you base your beliefs in great part on the writings of that scammer, von Daniken. Remember how you pretty well shut up when i informed you of his criminal past and prison time history?

Looks like you have a track record for admirering criminal scammers.

To Bob Johnson:

Raising taxes on the rich and big corporations will not totally solve our problems - I will agree with that. And I will agree with you that Romney pays more in taxes in 1 year than I will ever make in my lifetime. However, the money that he and many others invest and store in off-shore tax havens is untaxed money that could be helping America. And many of the big corporations that are making billions of dollars a year in profits are paying ZERO taxes and getting subsidized/refunds from the government. Why is this? These are the type of things that need to be changed.

As for Clinton and Reagan, they both raised taxes. Reagan, who the GOP loves saying wouldn't raise taxes, raised them 11 times over his 8 years in office. Yes, at first he lowered them, but soon realized that not enough revenue was coming in to sustain the country. Under Clinton, the wealthy and corporations were paying 39% in taxes, and we ended up with a surplus, which Bush Jr. soon depleated.

The founder of Papa Johns Pizza claims that Obamacare is too expensive, so he will have to cut his employees hours to part time status so he doesn't have to give them health insurance. Excuse me, but this guy lives in a 40,000 sq. ft. mansion and earned $44 million last year. But he refuses to spend $8 million to insure every one of his employees? $36 million a year isn't enough for him to live on, while his employees are struggling by on the minimum wages he pays them? Those employees are making him a very rich man - making sure his employees have health insurance is the least he could do for them.

Hey Frank, I just heard that Texas and Louisiana are filing papers to secede from the U.S. See, there's hope for you yet. Once those states secede, you could move there and be rid of the government you hate so much once and for all. Of course, if there happens to be a natural disaster there, such as a tornado, flood, or hurricane, you'll be on your own. No U.S. government aid to help pay for the cleanup and recovery efforts. But you couldn't take any help from anyone anyway, that would make you a "parasite."

@ Penny and lori i hope Obama can do what Clinton and Reagan did in there 2nd terms but i dont think it will happen because he will never move to the center to get things done. hes way to far left raising taxes on the rich does not solve anything. He has also divided this country saying the rich need to pay their fair share. Do you both realize that mitt romney and others like him have paid more taxes in one year than you will ever make in your entire life.

You wrote, "By the way, have your saucer gods weighed in to give you their opinion yet as well?"

My "saucer gods" are absolutly thrilled that Obama won the election. They told me that Obama will save this country and restore our economy. They also said that Obama's triumphant reelection will be instrumental in saving our planet from global warming. The saucer God's "superior" scientific knowledge of the universe has been monumental in alerting concerned scientists and environmentalists of the pending dangers if nothing is done to repair the damage humans have done to this planet. They also warned me that it's people like you who want to bring our government down and see our country fail, and are more than willing to take part in a civil revolt against our government to make sure that happens.

Is it not amusing that we are so like India which divides itself into caste system of low, middle to high castes and each caste seems to detest the others! Funny thing about America is we all pay taxes, fees call them what you like income, sales, luxury, fees etc, they all come out of everyones wallets and purses, who pays more is debatable since if one has low to middle income you mostly spend most of your earnings on basic needs, now if your fortunate and in that 2% your basic needs are much less to your general income, hence you pay less percentage wise than the low and middle classes who spend most of theirs with maybe a bit to savings which will get taxed when you start spending it in retirement as sales taxes fees etc.! This argument of who pays more is a moot issue used only by those who have no valid other arguments to give!

I share, and have propagated even more intensely here, the foreboding about Obama's reelection, along with some related commentary (trillions disappeared by the Fed, fore example). But if I could divert your attention momentarily to mention one ghastly phenomenon which we do not have to endure - a reference to Prince Charles' current tour of New Zealand. The nausea abounds as media fawn all over him and his former 'other woman'-turned-Duchess of Cornwall. One photo shows her wearing a cook's apron, sitting with some Maori children and cutting up a carrot cake. I think New Zealanders were supposed to view this with just slightly less awe than the Second Coming or rise of the 12th Mahdi - "The Royals this" and "the Royals that" all over NZ internet sites and newspapers. We may have Obama, but for now anyway, you're free to call him a treasonous, foreign-cultured gay street hustler, impostor, traitor, and thief of prior generations' sacrifices. (They're arresting outspoken anti-royalists down there check out Yahoo Australia, the New Zealand Herald, etc. for corroboration if you like))

@penny

No one is in favor of telling women what to do with their bodies. However, with freedom comes responsibility. Women should choose to refrain from having sex unless they can afford to pay for their own birth control.

I do not agree with certain women telling me what to do with my money, ie: paying taxes or higher health insurance premiums so they can have free birth control or abortions.

Likewise food stamps and welfare. Women should not have children they cannot afford to provide for. Otherwise they are telling me that I must pay part of my earnings toward their upkeep.

The government recently released figures that showed welfare programs, NOT INCLUDING social security and Medicare, are the largest category of government expenditures.

"people who pay into SS and then start collecting it are parasites?"

Nope, you said, I never have. You really do have a reading problem, don't you? Study up.....SSDI and SS are not the same thing. Of course, you could just be trying to cloud the issue. Feel free to reprint any comment where I mentioned SS.

"so they get food stamps"

I have no doubt that is very true in this county, where the average education level is the lowest in the state. Just check the U.S. census stats for Mohave County. It's reputation as a home for uneducated hicks is well deserved.

So 10 billion dollars is nothing to you. You must be a huge obama fan.
