Kingman Letter: Relieved after Obama win

To all the Democrats out there, we have won again. Another four years of great improvement.

For all of those people who voted for Romney, I'm truly sorry you lost. I truly believe that if Romney had won, we would be in a total depression, middle and lower class would not have anyone working for them (due to being "takers") and our rights as women would not have stayed in place. I could go on and on but I won't.

Thank you, everyone, for voting and putting our president back into office. I am proud that President Obama served for four years and will now serve for four more years.

Penny Gabriel

@ FLS
"He pays them for working for him, he owes them nothing else".

Yes, he DOES owe them something else. He owes them respect, he owes them a decent living wage, he owes them safe working conditions, he owes them a right to their own opinion even if it differs from his. I believe this is encompassed within the first two of the Ten Commandments.

Anson, they dont delete your posts because of your view points. They delete your posts because you ramble on and never adress the topics at hand. But anyways, i knew you wouldnt answer my question, its good that youve found a new excuse (censorship) to not answer questions.

He pays them for working for him, he owes them nothing else. Maybe in your ideal world employees would call the shots and tells him how much of his own money he can keep, but not in the real world thank God. What the boss makes is not the employees business.

But maybe if he has all the millions you think he does he can close two or three low profit ones.......It would certasinly help get the point across of who is in charge.

If his employees don't like the conditions, they can certainly go work elsewhere. Of course, if the are unskilled and poorly educated it might be difficult....But that is a problem of their own making.

“Wait a second anson, you approve of obama taxing the anerican people for obamacare, but you are not in favor of a business owner taxing people to pay or the same exact thing? That makes so much sense!”

As usual my response was censored … uhh deleted. I don’t understand why, but it’s not my newspaper indicating that only anti-Obama screeds are allowed. Sad, but that’s the terrified of the truth world of the KDM. But then again I did mention I have no idea what “anerican people” are, so that probably explains the censoring … uhh deleting.

I detest how Mr. Metz of Denny's can be so stingy with his employees if what FLS has said is accurate in it's entirety. I'm sure that a lot of big businesses will be streamlining their operations following the election and will also soon be back to paying it's employees peanuts while their CEOs continue to make millions plus in salaries, benefits and perks. Our President, I trust, will make them pay their fair share of taxes by eliminating loopholes and give-aways to them. Knowing how big businesses live by huge profits, I find it hard to believe they won't rebound in a very short time so they can keep those profits rolling in. Let's just see how Denny's (and other businesses pouting over their loss on election night) do at the end of 6 months.

"will not to take effect until 2014"

It would appear that Mr. Metz is a smart business man and, like others, is setting aside money that may be needed later to fight obamacare.

Admit it, the rising number of developments like this in the business community is making you leftists very nervous. Mostly because your leader, ovomit, can't do a thing about it.

Here's hoping it is a growing situation.

Since the Denny's here is not owned by Metz your threat is an empty one. Does this mean you have given up on the whole lame libtard idea of a boycott?

“John Metz, who owns 40 Denny's restaurants, has announced they will begin implementing a 5% "obamacare surcharge". In December all non-cook employees hours down to under 30 hours.”

Since the mandate will not take effect until 2014 it would appear as if Mr Metz is just another anti-American sleaze (ala Willard the Money Hider) who is out to screw his customers and employees while lining his pockets. We will see if the “obamacare surcharge” actually appears and when it does I will go to Denney’s and refuse to pay it. Hopefully I will be arrested.

Pathetic bunch of whiners.

I’m so enjoying watching the GOP turn their back on Romney’s excuses! I guess his real “Morals” are coming out. Now I get to watch McCain try and slam Susan Rice after he backed Condoleezza over the wars and the WMD’s. He says “it was a different situation”! He is correct, Condi is a Republican where Susan is a Democrat.

"He?"........ "Himself?" LoL. Oooooops. How very un-PC of you. You risk being kicked out of the very tiny KDM Liberal Komment Klub for being such an arrogant misogynist. Hate to break it to you, Skeezix, but women can also run a business.

LOL

Editor: Google "Skeezix" before deleting it as if it is a perjorative.....it's not. It is the equivelent of using "bub" "dude" or "man".

Looks like the idea of not laying down and taking it is spreading. And there is nothing that your president can do to stop it. Wait.......I know....."Hey gang, Let's have a boycott!" lol. The only problem with that is that a boycott would only cause employees hours to be cut even more or cause them to be let go.

The great irony of business leaning folks is they seem to sometimes in arrogance of their success forget their success was due to the one key factor which all businesses need to grow and profit customers, patrons to buy their goods and services without which no business can survive or profit! Businesses are created by customers, patrons without them no business can even exist! Go rent a building, buy gobs of equipment, and see how long you stay in business without customers or patrons! Two kinds of business owners seem to exist, arrogant, greedy ones and smart ones who know they have to keep their employees happy as well as their customers and patrons its a dual thing, and any business owner who gets so arrogant that he thinks he needs only one of these parts dooms himself to woe!

@ AN
DOWN boy. I'm on YOUR side except t that I DON'T think that it is so easy to find even a minimum wage job in this town right now with so many out of work. I think there must be a way to do away with the "Right To Work" status of Arizona and instill within more of the corporate hierarchy a sense of fairness and teamwork in managing it's employees. Not all the CEOs act like greedy massahs, just enough of them to give the rest a bad name.

"And now we find out the truth......"

The "truth" is that winning or losing a lawsuit is not a certainty. But obamacare raising the cost of doing business certainly is. And he could afford to have his lawyers drag out a case for years and years if he wants to.

And any businessman downsizing and/or cutting hours to avoid falling under obamacare is brillent. They are just playing by the rules the govt. made.

LOL

"The one thing about minimum wage workers is that they can easily find work elsewhere."

is that why 15% of this country is out of work? because people can easily find work elsewhere?

“I hate to say it, but your support of a boycott against Papa John's or any other business further hurts those minimum wage workers,…”

But cutting their hours and denying them health insurance is a good thing – right? The one thing about minimum wage workers is that they can easily find work elsewhere – perhaps where their contribution to the corporation is appreciated.

And now we find out the truth about why “Papa John” is so upset – and it has nothing to do with the AHCA.

“Pizza chain Papa John's is facing a $250 million class-action lawsuit for allegedly spamming customers with hundreds of thousands of illegal text messages. The lawsuit, filed in the U.S. District Court in Seattle on Monday, contends that Papa John's violated state and federal law by sending out 500,000 unwanted text messages advertising the chain's products. The messages, blasted out to customers through mass texting service OnTime4U, offered deals on Papa John's pizza.
"After I ordered from Papa John's, my telephone started beeping with text messages advertising pizza specials," Erin Chutich, one of the plaintiffs in the case, said in a statement. "Papa John's never asked permission to send me text message advertisements. Hopefully, this will be an important victory for consumers. Our lawsuit is about keeping spam from spreading from our email to our cell phones."

To Frank Lee Speaking:

So you mention "saucer gods" to embarass me? That would be the last thing I'd be embarassed about. I, along with millions of other people, believe that we are not alone in this universe. I am not egotistical enough to believe that Earth is the only planet, of the billions of universes out there, that has life on it. Would it embarass you if I ridiculed you because you read in a book that your God created these billions of universes and life, animals, etc. just because a ancient scribes got together and wrote a book of rules (the Bible) in order to create a more civil society? Of course not, because that is what you believe. What I believe is no different, and nothing you say would ever make me change my beliefs. So go ahead and knock yourself out. It just makes you sound petty and ridiculous.

@ AN & LGD - I hate to say it, but your support of a boycott against Papa John's or any other business further hurts those minimum wage workers, the very same people we want to be able to earn a living wage, and have adequate and affordable health care. Surely, there is a different way to discourage bloated corporations from stomping its lower-level employees into the ground?

Thank you, Michael Betts for trying to explain to so many in this area that believe "everyone" is on government assistance.

Be interesting to know how many that harp on all those welfare mamas are on some form of government aid. Remember Charles Black who ran on the Republican ticket here in the area. It appears those social security checks that he took for his children (which were found not be be warranted) couldn't possibly be government aid since he it was only "those people" that ripped us hard working tax payers off.
