Reader Letter: Declare war on Electoral College

Once again this country has been screwed by the Electoral College.

The majority of this country wanted Obama out of the White House and yet he is back.

One can only guess what damage he'll do to America in the next four years. He's certainly done his share already, and the majority of us had hoped to be rid of him by now.

But, the majority no longer rules - obviously.

There apparently are forces at work about which many of us know nothing.

It's no longer about leadership by a qualified person who has the best interests of his country at heart. It's about greed and power and political posturing.

Those who voted for him were brainwashed by his charisma and empty promises. I was a registered Democrat until he came along.

I am now Republican, even though I still think highly of the Democrats - except for their poor judgment in the matter of their choice of candidate.

Maybe it's time for another Civil War.

"The majority of this country wanted Obama out of the White House and yet he is back."

Sorry but the ACTUAL numbers prove that to be incorrect. As always, you are welcome to your own opinion, but NEVER your own facts. Willard the Money Hider lost - live with it!

I agree, people will soon feel the heavy financial bite from Obama's generous tax cuts and overspending. I think your right tho, it is time for a civil war, the CSA - Conservative States of America vs the DSA - Democratic States of America. I can just see the liberals, G.L.A.D. supporters, tree huggers, animal rights activists, Anti-fur activists, occupy protesters, anti-gun coalitionists, A.C.L.U. supporters, environmental activists, anti-hunting groups and so on, coming out to fight a battle.

Dori, I wish more of your fellow Democrats would wake up as you did. The Democratic party has been hijacked by those who have their had out to big govt. for any and all the benefits the Democratic candidates offer to them!

Don't give up on them, yet! We need a more moderate Democratic party and with your help and the help of others like you, the Democratic party might again become the check and balance needed against a far right Republican party.

When the Democratic party becomes more moderate, you will see the Republican party move back to the center. If the Democrats stay far left, (socialism), then Repubs will be forced far right to counterbalance and the country will suffer greatly from stonewalling like we have seen so far with this president!
