Kingman Letter: Time to be grown-ups

Please, please, stop it. The election is over. Don't teach our children how to be poor losers, or bad winners.

We all want the same thing: A better America.

Encourage our Senate and Congress to work together for this goal. Teach our youth that united we stand and divided we fall.

I am teaching my children not to be sheep, following the progressives "forward" off the cliff.

I am teaching my children that freedom and opportunity are worth fighting for, just as their ancestors fought for these same two ideals 236 years ago.

I am teaching my children that the reason our country was founded with 3 branches of government and separation of powers was to guard against the loss of individual freedom to an overreaching federal government .

I am teaching my children to become involved and vote for the people who have the principles we believe in, and who will go to Washington and stand our ground.

The reason for the two houses of Congress and the Presidency , (and the Supreme Court), and the fact that we vote for our representatives and president is so it is not easy for sweeping changes to be made against the people. The struggles going on in Washington are supposed to happen. It should not be easy for the government to add laws restricting the people, or taking away their property, (and that includes money).

United We stand, divided we fall was the bumper sticker slogan of the Revolutionary times.

What I teach my children goes much deeper than a bumper sticker slogan.

You should be glad that obumer won as they expected riots and burning if he lost.
Actually the Republicans even tho they are shocked and disappointed in the lack of brain power by the American voter have taken the loss pretty good.
Hopefully the American people will see the errors of their ways and wise up next election......and if you believe that I have a bridge to sell you!

Unfortunately some do not care what you think or want, as to we all want America to succeed, one might wish that but we have at minimum 750,000 wishing to secede and repeat the civil war blood bath, we have elected congressmen who see their job not as governing but to stop anything their opposiing party tries to do, leading to stalemate, but the good news is the sour pusses in society are turning into cannibals I am reminded of the donner party who foolishly tried to cross them mountains and got caught in winter and ended up dining on one another, when the few who survived were rescued they were destested by folks who deemed their cannabilism as disgusting! A political party once called the whig party did this and they no longer exist!

“We all want the same thing: A better America.”

Unfortunately that is far from correct. We see right here hysterical individuals continuing a long running litany of lies about the president and a stated desire that America completely collapse both economically and functionally simply because their choice of the man to run the nation did not win. The Republican in Congress are still maintaining a stance of doing nothing to make the nation move forward with solid job creation or a tax system that will help the nation continue the up tick in the economy that failed due to the actions of The Criminal.

As a nation we will survive, because we always have, but it will not be with any assistance from the Republicans or the naysayers we see posting here.
