Letter: Media can't get it right

You know how to make a rain dance work? Keep dancing till it rains.

MSNBC's Chris Matthews, CNN's Peter Berger, David Axelrod and the Huffington Post wanted so badly for their accusations to come true. They wanted nothing more than the bomber to be a Patriots' Day tax-protesting tea partier or a "Realtree" camo-wearing right winger from the NRA. The speculation began merely hours after the bombs went off in Boston - media assumption WRONG!

The media's arrogance is nothing new. In 2012, ABC News' Brian Ross falsely accused a tea party member of the Colorado movie theater shooting - media assumption WRONG!

In 2011, after the shooting of Congresswoman Gabby Giffords, the media launched a full-on assault to blame Sarah Palin, American patriots and tea partiers - media assumption WRONG!

The First Amendment guarantees one the right to speak freely and also protects the freedom of the press to factually report to the American people. Regardless, public defamation and assassination of character is still a violation of civil law. It's funny to me how liberals claim to be of a higher intellect, yet their journalists keep getting it wrong.

Do you know what they call journalism when biased to a political persuasion and based in an ideology? Propaganda. Our media has perfected it on the American people.

speaking of biased reporting, the miner editor seems to be super guilty of reporting in political areas. not because he's a left wing republican? nah, he wouldn't do that.....if you believe that, you must believe rush Limbaugh and his crap. or how about glenn beck...arf. they do suck, don't they.

“Daniel, switch to Fox News Channel. You will get both sides of the argument, and can make up your own mind.”

That is without a doubt, the most outstanding, hands-down, best sarcasm seen here in weeks! I bow to your ability. Good stuff!

Daniel, switch to Fox News Channel. You will get both sides of the argument, and can make up your own mind. Stay off the left-wing Cable Cesspools, unless you want your blood pressure to go up.

If you think only listening to your own point of view is the way to find the truth, you are sadly mistaken. Both sides of the media are guilty of pushing their agenda but one side has been proven to be far more accurate than the other. If you only watch Fox or listen to rightwing radio you might not be exposed to the truth. The Tea party at its beginning might have been started by concerned citizens who wanted to change govt for the better but as soon as the billionaires got involved and started to pay for the movement the average persons interests went up in smoke. They fund this party and spend money against the change they know will make them pay their fair share. The middle class is disappearing in America because the rich have far too much power and they mean to keep it.

So true and yet the liberals and Democrats keep claiming that non-liberals/Democrats are the ones that are creating the false claims, bottom line, both party's are corrupt and need the boot.

“It's funny to me how liberals claim to be of a higher intellect, yet their journalists keep getting it wrong.”

You mean like FAUX News that went to court and demanded – and won – the right to lie about, make up and distort news stores? Is that the kind of “journalism” you are talking about?

“Do you know what they call journalism when biased to a political persuasion and based in an ideology? Propaganda. Our media has perfected it on the American people.”

I have to admit with the likes of FAUX News, WND, Limbaugh, Beck, Hannity, O’Reilly, Coulter, Savage, Reagan, Malkin, Ingraham, Levine and the rest of the right wing shouting heads propaganda has indeed reached a high level in our media.

As to the “saintly” teabaggers we must never forget the head to the Arizona TEA Party who stormed into a classroom, shouted at and threatened a teacher scaring the crap out of the kids in the process.

The only good thing is the TEA Party is dying off – along with the Republican Party – and we soon we will have a nation free of these fools.
