Kingman man faces murder charges of infant

A Kingman man was arrested Monday in the alleged shaking death of his 7-week-old daughter.

Steven Raymond Zuncs was charged Saturday with child abuse in the death of his daughter.

Paramedics responded to a report of an infant not breathing Friday night at a Kingman apartment in the 3800 block of Roosevelt Street, Kingman police Cpl.

Tracie Homer said.

A felony complaint for first-degree murder was filed Monday with the Mohave County Attorney's Office, Homer said.

The baby was taken to Kingman Regional Medical Center then later flown to a Phoenix hospital where she died Saturday morning.

The injuries were consisted with an infant being severely shaken, Homer said.

Zuncs is being held on $150,000 bond for the child abuse charge.

He is also charged with criminal damage and disorderly conduct/domestic violence.

No other children were involved.
