Kingman motorcyclist killed on H-93

A 45-year-old Kingman motorcyclist was killed Thursday while traveling on Highway 93 about 30 miles south of interstate 40, Arizona Department of Public Safety spokesman Frank Valenzuela said.

David Krusen, driving a 1995 BMW motorcycle, was attempting to pass three cars in the northbound lanes on the highway just north of Wikieup when his motorcycle collided head-on with a southbound car, Valenzuela said.

The accident, which occurred around dusk at 7:30 p.m., caused a chain reaction accident involving four other cars that injured two motorists.

The fifth car involved then struck Krusen and his motorcycle again.

Krusen died at the scene from massive trauma, Valenzuela said.

One Las Vegas woman was airlifted to Kingman Regional Medical Center with a broken leg and possible broken arm, according to the Pinion Pine Fire Department.

One other patient was injured but was treated and released at the scene, Valenzuela said.
