Don Warfield has been named vice-president of marketing and college development at Mohave Community College, effective March 1.
While making the announcement, college PresidentThomas Henry said Warfield will direct marketing and college foundation initiatives.
He also will handle public relations, public information and publications, plus capital campaigns, planned giving and donor relations.
Warfield began his career in college marketing and public relations at the University of South Dakota at Springfield.
Most recently he lived in Gillette, Wyo., where he provided community and government relations for Amax, Inc.
and its subsidiaries.
He has owned and operated Don Warfield Communications in Gillette since 1986, specializing in public relations and advertising, video production, photography and publications.
Warfield has served in the Wyoming House of Representatives, on the Wyoming Community College Commission and on different educational advisory boards.
