Alleged kidnappers plead innocent<BR>

Two Golden Valley men charged with kidnapping a woman two weeks ago pleaded innocent Thursday in Mohave County Superior Court.

Richard Blaine Noble and Ronald Mayer Hughes were indicted on the felony charges by a Mohave County grand jury Dec.

19.

Noble is charged with aggravated assault, disorderly conduct with a weapon, first-degree burglary, kidnapping, endangerment and child abuse.

Hughes is charged with aggravated assault, disorderly conduct with a weapon by domestic violence, first-degree burglary and kidnapping by domestic violence.

According to a Mohave County Sheriff's Office report, Noble and Hughes drove to a residence in the 1500 block of Emery Park Road Dec.

16 and demanded that Hughes' ex-wife, Deborah Hughes, come with them.

Noble, 41, and Hughes, 52, are accused of firing several shots into air after threatening Deborah Hughes' male friend and endangering a child.

Noble also flashed a badge, claiming he was a police officer, the sheriff's report stated.

Deborah Hughes said she voluntarily went with Noble and Hughes to avoid further trouble, according to the report.

She was not hurt.

Noble, Hughes and Deborah Hughes left in two pickups.

Noble and Ronald Hughes were arrested after deputies stopped the trucks in the 3500 block of Estrella Road, the sheriff's report stated.

Deputies arrested Deborah Hughes the next day at her residence on San Pedro Road on a felony parole violation warrant from Sacramento, Calif.

Noble is being held in jail on $10,000 bond.

Ronald and Deborah Hughes are not in custody.
