Butler woman believed murdered

An autoposy on a woman found dead in her Butler home Wednesday indicates her death was a homicide.

Mohave County sheriff's detectives are continuing to investigate the death of Cecilia Gloria Antipala.

MCSO has not released any details about Antipala's death except to confirm they are investigating a homicide.

No suspects have been named but detectives are looking to question her son, Robert Larue Brown Jr., MCSO spokesman Jarrod Lyman said.

Brown is not considered a suspect but he may have information relevant to the murder investigation, Lyman said.

Brown, 29, is described as African-American, 5-feet, 9-inches tall, 160 pounds with brown eyes and long, black hair.

MCSO deputies discovered Antipala's body around 10:15 a.m.

Wednesday at her home in the 3200 block of Potter Avenue.

Family members told deputies that they had not heard from her possibly for several weeks.

It is believed Antipala, 56, had lived there for about two years, while her son lived with her on and off for about a year.
