An accident that occurred on Interstate 40 about 20 miles east of Kingman on Thursday morning resulted in the death of Norman Halawith, an 81-year-old Scottsdale man.
The Dodge pickup driven by Halawith was sandwiched between the above semi and another truck carrying a concrete barrier to be used near Hoover Dam.
The accident occurred at 9:42 a.m.
on I-40 westbound near milepost 69, said DPS officer Justin Sturgill.
The driver of the semi, James Holmgren, 46, of Ft.
Lupton, Colo., was transported by ground ambulance to Kingman Regional Medical Center.
He was treated and released, a hospital official said.
The driver of the other vehicle was not injured.
