Transient inmate charged with assault

KINGMAN – A transient faces a felony charge of aggravated assault on a corrections officer following a Tuesday incident at the Mohave County Jail.

Mohave County sheriff's deputies were called to the jail because of an assault charge made by an inmate, a sheriff's office news release stated.

Deputies spoke with a corrections officer, who stated he was standing between two inmates when one of them charged out of a shower, throwing several punches and hitting the officer.

James Terrigino, 21, is in jail on numerous other charges.

They include aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and five counts of assaulting corrections officers, all felonies.

He also faces a misdemeanor shoplifting charge and misdemeanor warrants for failure to appear and failure to pay fines.

Terrigino was booked on the new felony charge.

City woman charged on assault warrant

KINGMAN – A Kingman woman was arrested Tuesday on a felony probation violation warrant issued by Graham County Superior Court on original charges of sexual assault.

Mohave County sheriff's deputies contacted Ronda Lynn Wells, 32, in the 4400 block of N.

Bank Street regarding the warrant, a sheriff's office news release stated.

She was taken into custody and booked into the Mohave County Jail.

Driver arrested on state warrant

KINGMAN – A Kingman resident was arrested Wednesday on a felony probation violation warrant issued by the Arizona Department of Corrections.

Kingman police stopped a Chevrolet Blazer in the 2700 block of Harrison Street and contacted the driver, who was found to have a marijuana cigarette pack in his shirt pocket, Lt.

Dean Brice said.

The search occurred after a records check found the outstanding warrant naming Corneilus Montrele Bender, 28.

Bender was booked into the Mohave County Jail on the warrant and a misdemeanor charge of possession of drug paraphernalia.

The vehicle was released to a female occupant.

Fire calls

The Kingman Fire Department responded to a small brush fire and 10 medical calls.

Hualapai Valley Fire Station 6 responded to one medical call.

Station 7 personnel could not be contacted for call information.

The Golden Valley Fire Department responded to two medical calls.

The Valle Vista Fire Department responded to one medical call.

The Pinion Pine Fire Department responded to a non-injury accident, a smoke check and three medical calls.

The Lake Mohave Ranchos Fire Department in Dolan Springs responded to two medical calls.
