KINGMAN – The annual city of Kingman street chip-sealing began Monday, Street Superintendent Blake Chapman said.
Chip-sealing began on Rutherford Street and continued on Beverly Avenue on Monday including the Armour Avenue area.
Other streets on the Monday schedule were a small portion of Harrison and the Centennial Park parking lot, Burbank Street and the other Centennial Park parking lot.
Chip-sealing the Burbank area is scheduled to be complete early Tuesday, and the operation moves to Gordon Drive west of Stockton Hill Road.
Work will continue in the Shadowcrest, Canyon Shadow and Canyon Hills area Tuesday and Wednesday.
Harvard and Crestwood areas are on the Thursday street schedule.
Chip-sealing areas of the city will continue through May 26 with updates printed in the paper.
Residents are requested to drive slowly to avoid damage from flying rock and not to park vehicles on the street where chip-sealing is scheduled.
