Neil R. Walton

Neil R. Walton, 76, of Kingman died Aug. 27, 2004.

He was born Nov. 27, 1927, in Los Angeles.

He served in the Navy during WWII.

He retired from Chevron in 1983 and moved to Kingman the same year.

He was preceded in death by his son, Steven Walton, and daughter, Lynda Walton.

He is survived by his wife, Gladys; sister, Bernice Williams; brothers, Richard Walton, and his wife Barbara, and Kent Walton and his wife Demaris; son, Dave Walton; step-daughters, Susan Blunt and her husband Gary and Kristina LaMonica and her husband Steven; nieces and nephews; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren.

Neil had many friends, neighbors, co-workers and camping friends who will also miss him very much.

There will be a celebration of his life Sept. 11.

Florene McDaniel

Florene McDaniel, 86, of Kingman died Saturday, Aug. 21, 2004, at the Gardens Care Center and Assisted Living Community in Kingman. She was born Jan. 25, 1918, in Nara Visa, N.M.

After high school, Florene was a clerical worker at Norton Air Force Base in San Bernadino, Calif., where she worked on the stealth bomber project before it was public.

She was an avid gardener and she enjoyed square dancing. She was in a bowling league for many years. Florene loved to go on camping trips with her husband. She had a love of music and played the organ.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Audley E. McDaniel; son Robert D. McDaniel; and grandson Rodney D. Scheraldella.

She is survived by daughters Mary Batt, of Flint, Texas, and Linda Meadows of Highland, Calif.; sister Joyce Johnson of Oceano, Calif.; granddaughters, Kristi King of San Bernadino, Calif., Brenda Hodge of Flint, Rita Zumwalt and Skye McDaniel, both of Kingman, and Sherri McConnell of Highland; grandsons Rick McDaniel and Brandon McDaniel, both of Kingman, Russ McDaniel of Vista, Calif., Ryan McConnell, Big Bear, Calif., and Kyle McConnell of Highland.; and 14 great-grandchildren.

The funeral will begin at 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 28, at Sutton Memorial Funeral Home. Burial will be in Mountain View Cemetery.

Marguerite M. Miller

Marguerite M. Miller, 88, of Golden Valley died Thursday, Aug. 19, 2004, in Kingman. She was born Jan. 12, 1916, in Newark, N.J.

The funeral will begin at 3 p.m. Monday, Aug. 30, at Chloride Cemetery. Sutton Memorial Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

John L. Petro, 87, of Dolan Springs died Tuesday, Aug. 24, 2004, in Dolan Springs. He was born May 14, 1917, in Pittsburgh, Pa.

Betty L. Hall Binney, 81, of Golden Valley died Friday, Aug. 20, 2004, in Golden Valley. She was born Aug. 25, 1922, in Phoenix.

Leslie F. Riddle, 68, of Kingman died Thursday, Aug. 26, 2004, in Kingman. He was born Jan. 3, 1936, in Chicago.
