Woman hurt in accident

KINGMAN ­ Mohave County Sheriff's deputies are investigating an accident that occurred in a field off Mallard Drive and N. Castle Rock Road on Friday night.

About 10:13 p.m., deputies responded to the scene where a 2003 Kawasaki motorcycle traveling westbound at a high speed on Mallard Drive failed to stop at a stop sign at Castle Rock Road, a news release from the MCSO stated.

The bike continued through the intersection and into a field, where the operator lost control. Laveen Miller, 34, of Kingman was the driver and lone occupant.

She was taken to Kingman Regional Medical Center and was listed in stable condition as of Monday afternoon.

The motorcycle was towed from the scene.

Man suspected of weapons offense

DOLAN SPRINGS ­ Mohave County Sheriff's deputies arrested Douglas Jay Kloepfer, 43, of Dolan Springs on Friday night on a felony charge of disorderly conduct with a weapon.

About 9 p.m., deputies contacted the 47-year-old male victim, a news release from the MCSO stated.

He reported arguing with Kloepfer and that Kloepfer allegedly had pointed a handgun at him. Deputies spoke with a witness, who confirmed the victim's statement.

Deputies then went to a residence in the 6900 block of Concho Drive, where they contacted Kloepfer.

A records check revealed a felony failure-to-appear warrant issued by Kingman Municipal Court, misdemeanor failure-to-appear warrant from Kingman Justice Court, and misdemeanor contempt-of court-warrant issued by Kingman Justice Court.

After questioning about the handgun incident, Kloepfer was taken into custody and booked into Mohave County Jail.

Woman suspected of criminal damage

DOLAN SPRINGS ­ Mohave County Sheriff's deputies arrested Susan Dawn Earnst, 48, of Kingman on Saturday on felony charges of criminal damage and criminal damage/domestic violence.

Deputies responded to the 16,000 block of Pierce Ferry Road, a news release from the MCSO stated.

They contacted the 51-year-old male victim, who reported Earnst had come into his business, became upset with the victim and left. Before leaving the property, Earnst allegedly drove her vehicle into the victim's vehicle, causing it to strike another vehicle. Damages were estimated at $1,000.

Deputies went to a residence in the 16,000 block of Ladera Road and contacted Earnst. After questioning, she was taken into custody.

A records check on Earnst turned up a misdemeanor failure-to-appear warrant from Kingman Justice Court. She was booked into Mohave County Jail.

GV woman faces drug charge

KINGMAN ­ Mohave County Sheriff's deputies arrested Lois Colleen Chase, 36, of Golden Valley on Saturday on a felony charge of possession of dangerous drugs and a misdemeanor charge of domestic violence/disorderly conduct.

Deputies responded to a call in the 3500 block of Verde Road, a news release from the MCSO stated.

They contacted the 39-year-old male victim, who reported Chase had come to the residence and began yelling at him. He told Chase to leave and she refused.

Deputies spoke with Chase, who said she argued with the victim over some of her personal possessions. She was taken into custody.

A search of Chase allegedly turned up a plastic bag of a substance that field-tested positive for methamphetamine. She was booked into Mohave County Jail without incident.

Warrant lands local man in jail

KINGMAN ­ Mohave County Sheriff's deputies arrested Paul Bryan Pethers, 37, of Kingman on Monday on a felony probation violation warrant issued by Mohave County Superior Court, and a misdemeanor failure-to-appear warrant issued by Kingman Justice Court.

Deputies contacted Pethers at a residence in the 3100 block of Carver Avenue regarding the warrants, a news release from the MCSO stated.

He was taken into custody without incident and booked into Mohave County Jail.
