Healthy Bones for a Lifetime, with information on nutrition, supplementation, exercise, screening procedures and osteoporosis treatment, will be presented from 10 to 11 a.m. at the Kathryn Heidenreich Adult Center, 1776 Airway.
Mary Jane Marsh of Mohave County Cooperative Extension will present the information.
Youth competitors ages 8 to 15 can enter the NFL Punt, Pass & Kick football skills competition at Firefighters Park on Detroit Avenue at 10:30 a.m. Winners advance to the district competition.
A fall planting workshop is being held from 10 a.m. to noon at the Mohave Agricultural Center, 101 E Beale Street, Kingman.
Fall gardening tips will be presented on the following topics: vegetables, greens, flowers, pruning, composting, soil, irrigation, fertilizers and bulbs.
The workshop is free and open to the public and sponsored and presented by the Kingman Area Master Gardeners and the University of Arizona Mohave County Cooperative Extension Office.
Parents wishing to learn about differences in the male and female brains and how they affect their child's learning are welcome to attend a special class at 7 p.m. at Hualapai Elementary School, 350 Eastern Ave.
