KINGMAN Bank Street will be closed between Calle Castano and Calle Alamo from Monday through Wednesday so that crews can perform soil stabilization on that portion of Bank Street, Mohave County Public Works Assistant Director Nicholas Hont said. A detour will be marked and the street will be open to residents of Bank Street only.
Work is also in progress on Hackberry Road, where asphalt millings obtained from Arizona Department of Transportation are being laid to create a hard surface road which will then be chip-sealed. Manuel Esquibel, Mohave County road department superintendent, said that work began at the Highway 93 intersection and will progress northward to Interstate 40.
Additionally, the following areas will be experiencing maintenance work next week that may impact motorists, according to Mohave County Road Maintenance Supervisor Robert Long. The work includes:
Valle Vista sweeping and road patching;
Mohave Valley roadwork on Mountain View Road and Hammer Road;
North end and downtown areas of Meadview paving repairs;
Butler area (North Kingman) painting of stop strips at intersections;
Gordon Drive just east of Willow Road (North Kingman) detour around construction work on the Mohave Wash Channel Project.
