Tax time again?

KINGMAN The 2005 Mohave County real/secured property tax bills were recently mailed. The first half installment will be due Oct. 1. The delinquent date is 5 p.m. Nov. 1. Any tax under $100 needs to be paid in full prior to the delinquent date.

The second half installment is due by 5 p.m. May 1. The full amount can be paid without interest on or before Dec. 31.

The Treasurer's Office urges taxpayers to remember that taxes are the responsibility of the taxpayer, and that a tax bill has to be paid even if it is not received.

If tax bills are not received by Oct. 1, property owners should contact the treasurer's office at 753-0737. Calls can be made toll free from within the county at (800) 420-6352.

Payments may be made in person at 313 E. Oak Street in Kingman from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Payments are accepted by credit card through an automated service provided by Official Payments Corporation at no cost to Mohave County. Call (888) 272-9829 and follow recorded instructions. When prompted for the jurisdiction code, enter 1303. Official Payments Corporation charges a fee to the user.

Payments can also be made online at www.officialpayments.com. Again, the jurisdictional code is 1303.

The Treasurer's Office is expecting to begin operations in the new Mohave County Administration Building by Oct. 11. The new location is at 700 W. Beale St., and the office will be open to the public 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
