Golden Valley man found dead in Jeep in Laughlin

LAUGHLIN The body of Alex Lackey, 74, of Golden Valley was found Saturday morning in a container in the back of an SUV parked in the parking lot of the Riverside Hotel and Casino in Laughlin.

Around 9:43 a.m. Saturday, a patron in the parking lot noticed a foul odor emanating from the back of a nearby vehicle. They notified security and the police were called.

The Clark County Coroner's office determined that Lackey died of multiple gunshot wounds. Lackey had been reported missing three days earlier, leading homicide investigators to believe the car had been parked at the Riverside for several days.

Reports have indicated that the car Lackey was found in was his own Jeep.

Homicide detectives are not releasing any information about the type of container Lackey was found in.
