KINGMAN – Kingman Police arrested David Dwight Owens, 35, of Kingman early Thursday on felony charges of unlawful flight from police and aggravated DUI.

About 1:20 a.m., an officer observed a 1998 Jeep northbound on Eastern Avenue near Interstate 40, a news release from the KPD stated.

The Jeep was traveling at twice the posted speed limit, and when the officer attempted to stop the vehicle, its driver fled. The Jeep was located a short time later in the driveway of a residence in the 3500 block of Heather Avenue. The driver, identified as Owens, was inside the Jeep. He appeared intoxicated and was taken into custody. Owens was booked into Mohave County Jail.

KINGMAN – Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Salvatore Vincent Joyce, 26, of Kingman on Thursday on a felony charge of disorderly conduct with a weapon.

Deputies responded to a call of a weapons offense in the 2800 block of Lass Avenue, a news release from the MCSO stated. Deputies spoke with two witnesses and learned Joyce allegedly was waving a gun in his front yard. They contacted Joyce, who denied having a gun. Deputies contacted Joyce’s brother, who confirmed Joyce earlier had been in the front yard with a gun. A Jennings .38 handgun was located and confiscated. Joyce was booked into Mohave County Jail.

KINGMAN – Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Ernest Joseph Lumas III, 41, of Kingman early Friday on a felony failure to appear warrant issued by Mohave County Superior Court and misdemeanor contempt of court warrant from Kingman Justice Court.

About 1:28 a.m., deputies contacted Lumas in the 1700 block of John L Avenue about the two warrants, a news release from the MCSO stated. They took Lumas into custody and booked him into Mohave County Jail.

KINGMAN – Kingman Police arrested Gregory Daniel Price, 50, of California on Thursday on a felony parole violation warrant issued by the California Department of Corrections.

Officers responded to the Greyhound bus station on Andy Devine Avenue in regards to an intoxicated male subject being unruly on a bus, a news release from the KPD stated.

Price was contacted and a records check run on him. It revealed the warrant. Price was booked into Mohave County Jail to await extradition.

KINGMAN – Kingman Police arrested Nicole Renee Molt, 20, of Kingman on Thursday on a felony charge of aggravated assault/domestic violence.

Officers responded to a reported stabbing incident in the 2700 block of Phoenix Avenue, a news release from the KPD stated. Upon arrival, they found a male subject with several stab wounds. It was alleged that he was stabbed by his girlfriend, identified as Molt. Molt had left the scene before officers arrived. She later was located, arrested and booked into Mohave County Jail.

The victim was taken to Kingman Regional Medical Center, where he was treated for his stab wounds and later released.

KINGMAN – Kingman Police arrested a 16-year-old female juvenile on Thursday on felony charges of possession of dangerous drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Officers responded to a reported purse snatching at a grocery store in the 3100 block of Stockton Hill Road, a news release from the KPD stated. The suspect was reported to have left the scene in a Suburu station wagon with Montana license plates. The vehicle was located minutes later in the 700 block of West Beale Street. Four subjects, three juveniles and one adult, were in the Suburu. All were from Montana. A male juvenile was identified as the theft suspect. He was booked into the Mohave County Juvenile Detention Center on a misdemeanor theft charge.

A search of the vehicle allegedly turned up drugs and paraphernalia belonging to the girl. She was booked into the juvenile detention center on the two felony charges.

The victim’s purse was recovered and returned to her.
