KINGMAN – Mohave County Sheriff’s detectives arrested Jimmy Dene Correll, 32, of Kingman on Tuesday on multiple charges. Detectives made a traffic stop near Diagonal Way and Able Drive, a news release from the MCSO stated.
They contacted Correll, the driver, and found his driver’s license was suspended, a misdemeanor. A records check also uncovered a misdemeanor failure to appear warrant out of Kingman Justice Court. Correll also was charged with possession of dangerous drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia, felonies, related to an incident last year in which detectives allegedly found a plastic bag of methamphetamine and a glass pipe on Correll. Results of a test on the substance had not been received before detectives finished questioning Correll and he was not arrested at the time, MCSO spokeswoman Trish Carter said. After his release, Correll disappeared until being found Tuesday morning. Correll was booked into Mohave County Jail and his vehicle was towed from the scene.
KINGMAN – Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested John David Kumpitsch, 44, of Kingman on Tuesday on felony charges of aggravated assault on a detention officer and prisoner assault with body fluids. Deputies were called to the Mohave County Jail regarding an alleged assault of one inmate by another,, a news release from the MCSO stated.
The detention officer told deputies Kumpitsch had spit in his face. Kumpitsch, who had been in custody since April 17 on a felony probation violation charge, was booked on the new charges.
GOLDEN VALLEY – Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies and detectives arrested Victor J. Malaro, 38, of Golden Valley on Tuesday on a felony fugitive from justice warrant from the U.S. Marshal’s Service. Deputies contacted Molaro in the 3300 block of Houck Road regarding the warrant, a news release from the MCSO stated. He was taken into custody without incident and booked into Mohave County Jail
