DOLAN SPRINGS - Firefighters with the Lake Mohave Ranchos Fire Department were kept busy last Thursday by two accidents.
About 3 p.m., two engines and four personnel responded to a car vs. tour bus collision on U.S. 93 at milepost 41, paramedic Robert Cole said.
The male driver of the sedan evidently was pulling onto the highway when the northbound bus struck his vehicle. He was taken to Kingman Regional Medical Center with unspecified injuries.
The bus contained 26 passengers and a driver. Nobody aboard was hurt and the bus was able to continue its trip after the investigation by Department of Public Safety officers.
About 5 p.m., two units and three personnel responded to a report of a four-vehicle collision at the intersection of Pierce Ferry and Antares roads.
"There was a big dust storm at the time and people were not slowing down," Cole said. "The road was shut down for about two hours."
Firefighters were kept from reaching the scene by Mohave County Sheriff's deputies, who had secured the roads to prevent further accidents under the dangerous conditions. Deputies advised one fire department representative there were no injuries.
The four vehicles contained a total of seven people, MCSO spokeswoman Trish Carter said. One vehicle carried tourists from the United Kingdom, and the other three contained residents of Meadview.
