GOLDEN VALLEY - A motorist was injured Tuesday in a rollover accident as he left State Route 68 and got on the northbound on-ramp to U.S. 93.
About 1:23 p.m., four units and eight personnel from the Golden Valley Fire Department responded to the scene, Capt. David Martin said.
The Chevy van being driven came to rest off the roadway, so traffic flow on the ramp was not halted. The injured man was taken to Kingman Regional Medical Center with possible neck, back and leg injuries.
No further information was available.
GOLDEN VALLEY - Fire gutted a vehicle and damaged a doublewide mobile home early Monday morning.
About 3:34 a.m. six units and 12 personnel from the Golden Valley Fire Department responded to the structure in the 1400 block of Estrella Road, Capt. David Martin said.
The fire apparently started in a 2006 Ford pickup truck. The attic of the dwelling was partially involved in flames upon arrival of firefighters, who extinguished the blaze.
Nobody was home when the fire broke out and there were no injuries among firefighters.
Cause of the fire is under investigation. No dollar estimate of the damage was available.
KINGMAN - Mohave Area General Narcotics Enforcement Team members were assisted by the Lake Havasu City SWAT Team, Kingman Police Department, Mohave County Sheriff's Office and Arizona Department of Public Safety on Nov. 30 in executing four search warrants in the Kingman area.
About 6:30 a.m., the warrants were served at the same location in the 1900 block of East Andy Devine Avenue, a news release from the MCSO stated.
MAGNET officers arrested Carlos Lee Mills, 28, of Bell, Calif., on felony charges of possession of dangerous drugs, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a weapon by a prohibited person. A search of the premises allegedly uncovered drugs, paraphernalia and guns.
Mills was booked into Mohave County Jail.
Further drug and weapons charges against other individuals are pending.
KINGMAN - Kingman Police arrested Guy Betoni Nez III, 22, of Kingman on Nov. 30 on felony charges of possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
About 11:43 p.m. an officer contacted Nez during a traffic stop in the 2800 block of East Andy Devine Avenue, a news release from the KPD stated.
The driver was found to have a suspended license, a misdemeanor. He was cited and released.
Nez, a passenger, allegedly was in possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia when contacted by the officer. He was booked into Mohave County Jail.
The vehicle was impounded.
GOLDEN VALLEY - Mohave County Sheriff's deputies arrested Christopher Harrison Simmons, 29, of Golden Valley on Dec. 1 on a felony charge of aggravated DUI and misdemeanor assault warrant issued by Kingman Justice Court.
About 5:25 p.m., deputies responded to a domestic violence call in the 4400 block of Miramar Drive, a news release from the MCSO stated.
The reporting party stated she and Simmons, her husband, had argued much of the day. She left the residence shortly after 5 p.m. and went to a friend's home. Simmons soon arrived and pursued the argument.
A dispatcher informed deputies of the outstanding warrant on Simmons.
As deputies headed to the Simmons residence, they observed a white Ford truck traveling north on Jade Road at a high rate of speed. It came to an abrupt stop, causing it to go sideways and up an embankment.
The vehicle turned around and proceeded south on Jade Road. Deputies made a traffic stop on it and contacted Simmons, the driver.
Deputies detected an odor of alcohol about Simmons. He was taken to Mohave County Jail, where an analysis of his blood alcohol concentration was found to be .16 percent.
Simmons was booked into jail without incident.
DOLAN SPRINGS - Mohave County Sheriff's deputies arrested Michael T. Massagli, 38, of Las Vegas on Dec. 2 on a felony charge of possession of stolen property.
Deputies observed a Yamaha motorcycle without a license plate traveling west on Pierce Ferry Road, a news release from the MCSO stated.
About 6:01 p.m., they stopped the bike at milepost 8 and contacted the driver, identified as Massagli.
A records check on the bike VIN revealed it was reported stolen in Las Vegas on Nov. 30.
Massagli was booked into Mohave County Jail.
HACKBERRY - Fire destroyed a 20-foot travel trailer Dec. 5, but no injuries were reported.
About 4:40 p.m., an engine and two personnel from the Pinion Pine Fire Department responded to the scene off Hackberry Road about four miles north of Interstate 40, engineer Ken Milner said.
The vehicle was burned out upon arrival of firefighters.
It apparently was abandoned and no nearby structures were threatened.
No dollar estimate of the damage was available and the cause of the blaze is unknown.
