KINGMAN - Mohave County Sheriff's deputies arrested Jennifer Jeannette Crawford, 30, of Kingman on Tuesday night on a felony charge of aggravated assault.
About 3 p.m., deputies contacted the 14-year-old female victim, a news release from the MCSO stated.
She reported walking in the 3900 block of John L Avenue with friends when a woman came up and hit her in the face. Deputies observed a bruised eye and scratch on one cheek of the victim, who did not know her assailant but gave a description of her.
About 6:30 p.m., deputies were in the 3700 block of Northern Avenue when they contacted a woman matching the description of the suspect. She was identified as Crawford.
After questioning, Crawford was taken into custody. A records check turned up a misdemeanor failure to appear warrant issued by Kingman Justice Court.
Crawford was booked into Mohave County Jail.
KINGMAN - A 41-year-old man was injured while riding an all-terrain vehicle Wednesday night.
About 6:28 p.m., an engine, battalion chief and four personnel from the Kingman Fire Department responded to an open field one mile north of Airway Avenue and one-fourth mile east of Castle Rock Road, Battalion Chief Bill Johnston said.
"The driver evidently struck a rock and the ATV flipped," Johnston said.
The victim sustained possible shoulder and facial injuries. He was taken to Kingman Regional Medical Center.
No further information was available.
