Murder suspect's trial postponed

KINGMAN – The jury trial management conference for Benjamin Henry of Kingman, charged with burglary and the July 2004 murder of octogenarian John Wurtzel of Kingman, was continued from Tuesday to March 7.

His trial date also was changed from Jan. 19 to March 7. His defense attorney, Steven Glazer, said he needs to interview at least one more witness.

Jace Zack of the Mohave County Attorney's Office said the case probably wouldn't be ready for trial by Jan. 19, considering the plea agreement entered into by Henry's co-defendant, James Moses.

Mohave County Superior Court Judge Richard Weiss moved the trial to March to find at least 10 days open on the court calendar for what likely will be a lengthy proceeding.
