Kenneth Lester Payne

Ken Payne was born on Jan. 19, 1917, in Wenatchee, Wash., the son of Howard and Elizabeth Payne. He graduated from high school in Santa Ana, Calif. He served in the U.S. Army overseas in WWII, and lived for many years in Upland, Calif.

Ken and his wife, Audrey, moved to Kingman on Jan. 3, 1990. His favorite activities were playing golf and cards with friends and listening to big band music. Ken was an active member of Kingman Presbyterian Church for many years, both in the work and worship in the church. He succumbed to a lengthy illness Jan. 8.

Memorial services will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 13, in the sanctuary of Kingman Presbyterian Church, 2425 Detroit Ave. The family has asked that donations in Mr. Payne's memory be made to the KPC Memorial Fund in lieu of flowers.
