Richard R. Burns was born in Detroit on Aug. 13, 1934. He passed away in his home on June 14, 2006. He had lung cancer. He was a Vietnam veteran. He served in the U.S. Air Force and retired after 22 years. He was a Mohave County corrections officer and retired after 10 years.
He is survived by his wife, Kyong H. Burns of Kingman; and remaining two children, son, John Burns from Ypsilanti, Mich., and daughter, Tina Burns-Paulson from Kingman; his mother, Mable Burns; and brother, Ron Burns from Rose City, Mich.; a son-in-law, Dean Paulson of Kingman; daughter-in law, Connie Burns of Ypsilanti; six grandchildren, Johnathon, Timothy and Becky Burns from Ypsilanti, Chelsea Paulson, Christina Burns and Vanessa Paulson from Kingman; and great-granddaughter, Makayla Burns.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to noon on Saturday, June 17, at Desert View Funeral Chapel, 2215 E. Northern Ave., Kingman, with service immediately following from noon to 1 p.m. Burial will be at Mountain View Cemetery in Kingman.
Kathrine M. Orlando, 90, of Kingman died Tuesday, June 13, 2006, in Kingman. She was born June 30, 1915, in Detroit.
