KPD seeks help in death investigation

KINGMAN – Kingman Police detectives are asking the public for assistance in their investigation into the death of Wayne Leslie Henderson, 52, of Kingman.

About 9:45 a.m. Saturday, officers responded to a report of a man down at a business in the 400 block of East Andy Devine Avenue, a news release from the KPD stated.

Upon arrival, officers found Henderson lying on the ground with head injuries. He was first taken to Kingman Regional Medical Center, where it was determined Henderson had fractures to his skull and pelvis.

Henderson was flown by air ambulance to Sunrise Hospital in Las Vegas, where he later died. The Clark County Coroner’s Office in Las Vegas conducted an autopsy on Monday and determined Henderson died of blunt force trauma to the head.

KPD detectives now are conducting the death investigation as a homicide.

Henderson was last seen in a bar in the 300 block of Beale Street in downtown Kingman about 1:30 a.m. Saturday. Anyone with information on the cause of Henderson’s death or about the person(s) responsible is asked to contact detectives at 753-2191 or Mohave Silent Witness at (888) 227-8780.
