Colorado River Conference champs to play California team in playoffs

KINGMAN - The Kingman Cobras Midget team clinched the Colorado River Conference Championship with a 40-7 win against River Valley last Saturday in Needles.

Travis Harryman scored touchdowns both on the ground and in the air for the Midgets. Casey Callender also scored twice. Tanner Kasper made a one-handed catch for a touchdown, and Landon Barrios was the Cobras' fifth player to score.

The team will play Mt. Baldy, Calif., on Nov. 11 in Lake Havasu City in a semi-regional playoff game.

The Junior Midget Bowl went to the Black team by two touchdowns, 28-14. Kingman's Tiny Mite Flag team also won 30-24 past River Valley, and the Mitey Mite Gold team beat Lake Havasu

The Junior Pee Wee team suffered a 20-6 loss to Blythe, and the Mitey Mite Black team lost to Lake Havasu.

The Mitey Mite Cobra teams are the only teams at home this week. The Black team plays Parker at 11 a.m., and the Gold team takes on River Valley at 1 p.m.

The Pee Wee, Junior Pee Wee and Tiny Mite Flag teams travel to Parker this week, and the Junior Midget Black team heads to Lake Havasu.
