KINGMAN - A truck driver was airlifted to University Medical Center in Las Vegas with serious injuries early Tuesday morning.
About 3:50 a.m. an engine and three personnel from the Pinion Pine Fire Department responded to westbound lanes at milepost 66 on Interstate 40, where two semis had collided, paramedic Ken Milner said.
An engine and two personnel from the Kingman Fire Department also responded to assist with extrication of the driver flown from the scene by Guardian Air. The other driver received minor injuries.
Bill Johnston, battalion chief with the KFD, said one of the trucks was hauling computer printers and the other was a beer truck. KFD firefighters assisted Pinion Pine personnel in extrication of the injured driver using the Jaws of Life.
"One truck was on its side and the cab of the other was crushed," Milner said.
CHLORIDE - One woman was killed and another injured Friday in a two-car T-bone type accident on U.S. 93.
About 6:20 p.m., Department of Public Safety officers responded to milepost 52.7, a news release from the DPS stated.
Investigation revealed a westbound car was crossing U.S. 93 from Chloride Road when it collided with a northbound vehicle.
Sandra Jo Morse, 44, of Golden Valley, was flown to University Medical Center in Las Vegas, where she later died of her injuries. Sharon Marie Swansey, 46, of Dolan Springs, the other driver, was taken to Kingman Regional Medical Center, where she was admitted.
KINGMAN - Mohave County Sheriff's deputies arrested Paulette Trimble, 44, of Kingman on Friday night on a felony nonpayment of child support warrant issued in Nye County, Nev.
About 10 p.m., deputies contacted Trimble at a residence in the 4400 block of Lomita Street regarding the warrant, a news release from the MCSO stated.
KINGMAN - A Bullhead City resident was injured Friday night in a pedestrian vs. vehicle accident on U.S. 93.
About 7:13 p.m., Larry Eugene Roberts, 57, apparently was walking south in the roadway at milepost 69.9 when a 26-year-old Phoenix woman, who was not identified, struck him while driving a 2000 Dodge pickup, a news release from the Kingman Police Department stated.
The woman tried to avoid hitting Roberts and was not issued a citation.
Roberts received a broken leg and possible internal injuries in the accident. He was taken to Kingman Regional Medical Center and later was to be flown to a Las Vegas hospital for further treatment of non-life threatening injuries.
WIKIEUP - Mohave County Sheriff's deputies arrested Michael Edward Rausch, 28, of Wikieup on Sunday on a felony fugitive from justice warrant out of White Pine County in Nevada.
Deputies responded to a traffic accident in the area of old Highway 93 and Calle Ariente, a news release from the MCSO stated.
During the investigation, deputies learned Rausch, a passenger in one of the vehicles, had the outstanding warrant.
He was booked into Mohave County Jail.
