The 2006 Kingman Air & Auto Show was everything for me. For a kid who drag-raced his 1934 hot rod Ford during the '50s in Perryville, Ariz., down in the valley; and for the young man who went through pilot training at Williams AFB in Chandler; and for the hot-shot fighter pilot who saw three combat tours in Vietnam both up North in jets and down South in props, directing close air support - it all came home at Kingman.
During the show, the wife and I sold Espresso coffee and fruit smoothies, and watched all the events. Everyone was nice to us: customers, promoters, security. Kingman can be proud of its effort at providing a class show.
I hope the show will grow in recognition and promotion. We had a few European tourists at our concession stand. It was interesting to hear a "deep vanilla crème smoothie" ordered with a French accent or "blueberry-banana" in German. We'd like to be part of your show next year. Cheers!
