Mary McGovern of 8698 Concho Court passed away Wednesday evening, Oct. 18, at her home.
She was born in Ireland and made her home in this country since 1960.
She had worked as a registered nurse in different hospitals throughout the country until her retirement.
She is survived by her husband, Patrick; and her daughter, Maureen. She is also survived by three brothers, Thomas, Vincent and Arthur; and three sisters, Kathleen, Pauline and Shelia of Ireland.

The memorial services will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 24, at Sutton Memorial Funeral Home, 1701 Sycamore Ave.
Former Kingman resident Gordon Drake died of cancer on Sunday, Oct. 15, 2006, in Boise, Idaho. Gordon is best remembered for his loyal friendship to his neighbors and friends.
He worked at Flying "J" and also at the Ranch Market.
He served honorably in the United States Navy.
He is survived by his sister, Sharon, and nephews and nieces. Also surviving is Gordon's constant companion, "the love of his life," Mardell Hollyoway, of 22 years of love and companionship until the end.
He held numerous other friends, too many to name, close to his heart during his final struggle - an act of kindness that will never be forgotten.
