KINGMAN - The Kingman Police Department responded to information about a possible school shooting at Kingman Middle School on Friday.
"We just made a presence there and were monitoring what was going on," Sgt. Bob Fisk said.
According to Fisk, a student reported hearing two boys mention shooting. Fisk said it was unclear what the context of the shooting was, and suggested he heard it ranged from hunting to actually at the school.
"Obviously, with what's going on in the world, we were going to take this seriously," Fisk said.
The boys have not been identified and are not known by KPD. School resource officers and detectives dressed in tactical gear were on school grounds most of the day.
The school was not placed on lockdown and no incidents occurred.
