Edward F. Malysz, 82, of Kingman died peacefully at home surrounded by family on Saturday, April 21, 2007. He was born in Dearborn, Mich., on March 12, 1925, to Rosalie and John Malysz. Edward is survived by Katherine (Alred), his beloved, faithful wife of 61 years.
He retired from Chrysler Warren Stamping plant as a tool and die welder in 1986.
Edward is also survived by his devoted children, Linda Summers of Livonia, Mich., Michael Malysz Sr. of Kingman, Thomas Patrick Malysz of Howell, Mich., and Katherine (John) Urda of Manchester, Mich. He was blessed with grandchildren, Benjamyn Summers of Canton, Mich., Milei (Brian) Hurley of Kingman, Carly (Robert) Sena of Kingman, Melanee Summers (preceded in death) of Livonia, Michael Malysz Jr. of Kingman, Valerie (Robert) Bailey of Galveston, Texas, Christina Malysz of Fowlerville, Mich., Aaron (Kayla) Urda of Manchester, and Sarah Malysz of Pinckney, Mich.
He was also blessed with great-grandchildren, Sean Malysz, Ryan Hurley, Makayla and Mallory Malysz, and Kyle Sena, all of Kingman, and Gabriel Ward of Fowlerville, Mich.
During WWII, Edward served three years in the Army in the South Pacific. He was a member of St. Mary's Church in Kingman and Sts. Peter and Paul in Detroit. His family and friends will miss him dearly.
Visitation in Kingman will be from 3 to 6 p.m. on Tuesday, April 24, at Sutton Memorial Funeral Home, 1701 Sycamore Ave.
