Bill Van Hook, 84 years old, passed away at Kingman Regional Medical Center on Friday, June 1, 2007. He was born in St. Paul, Minn., and moved to Long Beach, Calif., at a very young age. In later years, he moved to Lake Havasu City and then to Valle Vista. In 1943, he joined the army for the 2nd world war. He served in the European Theatre, where he received the Silver Star, three Gold Clusters and the Bronze Star for heroism.
He leaves behind his wife, Jean; his brother, Roger and wife Jo; two children; eight grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by three children and one brother.
Arrangements are being handled by Sutton Memorial Funeral Home.
