KINGMAN - According to the Arizona Department of Public Safety, at approximately 4:08 p.m. on Tuesday, a two-vehicle fatal accident occurred on Interstate 40 at milepost 101, 50 miles east of Kingman.
Vehicle one, driven by Marvin McDaniel, 77, of Blythe, Calif., was traveling the wrong way in the westbound lanes of I-40. His vehicle struck another vehicle head-on. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Lyndon Mason, 46, of Lake Havasu City, was driving the second vehicle. She was transported by air to John C. Lincoln Hospital in Phoenix. Eva Maria Mason, 42, of Lake Havasu was a passenger in the second vehicle. She was pronounced dead at the scene. Passenger Nathaniel Mason, 11, of Lake Havasu was transported by air to Lincoln Hospital and passenger Leleh Mason, 13, of Lake Havasu was transported by air to Las Vegas for treatment of their injuries sustained in the accident.
KINGMAN - Mohave County Sheriff's deputies arrested Fred Warren Holbrook Jr., 53, of Golden Valley late Saturday evening on a fugitive from justice felony warrant issued out of Riverside, Calif.
At approximately 11 p.m. while deputies were investigating a suspicious vehicle call, they contacted a male subject asleep inside a pickup. The subject was identified as Holbrook. A records check showed him to have an outstanding warrant. He was taken into custody without incident and transported and booked into the Mohave County Jail.
KINGMAN - Mohave County Sheriff's deputies arrested three male juveniles, one from Kingman and two from Las Vegas, on Saturday on felony charges of trespassing, burglary and theft.
Deputies responded to a burglary report in the 1800 block of Hearne Avenue, a news release from the MCSO stated. The female victim stated someone broke a window in her home during the night, entered and stole jewelry. Deputies followed shoe prints to a residence in the 2500 block of Devlin Avenue. They contacted the three juveniles, questioned them and took them into custody. The jewelry was recovered.
