On a warm Saturday morning, May 19. Thirty-two participants met at the Ranch Club to participate in the Dolan Springs Open Space National Trails Day.
Before the event kicked off at 8:30 a.m., participants enjoyed a fabulous pancake breakfast sponsored by the Ranch Club and they had an opportunity to win door awards and 50/50. Tim Carlile, from Fort Mohave won $29 in the 50/50. Chris DeVore won fifth, a sun catcher; Sheri Buande won fourth, a water hydration bag; Fred Anderson, third a REI Day pack; Juanita Strunke, second, a one-night cabin stay at Hualapai Mountain Park; Irma Musick won first, a ATV trip for two at Valley of Fire.
There were 12 riding ATVs to Taylor Mountain Camp where they saw a demonstration of a stamp machine and panned for gold. The four equestrians consolidated their ride and rode from the Chamber of Commerce through Section 30, the 11 hikers combined their hike and went into the Mt. Tipton Wilderness, Antelope Canyon. The four-wheelers had three rigs and six participants in a tour of Lake Mohave Rancho.
