Max Ray Hopkins, a longtime resident of Kingman, went to be with the Lord on Oct. 23, 2007,
Max was born on Feb. 9, 1936, to Herb and Rebecca Hopkins in Davidson, Okla.
He came to Kingman as an infant. He served with the United States Army from 1959 to 1961. Max worked at Ford Motor Company as a mechanic and retired from there after many years of service.
Max is survived by his wife, Gloria; children, Bentley Hopkins and Trevayah Hopkins; sisters, Neda Cook and Billie Jean Griffith; and several grandchildren.He was preceded in death by his parents, Herb and Rebecca Hopkins; son, Max Ray; sister, Mary Beth; and brothers, Pete and Larry Joe (Monk).
Max was adored by his family and friends, and always had a big smile for everyone. His passions were gardening, building model airplanes and trips to Diamond Creek with his beloved Gloria.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 29, at the Desert Church of Christ.
