Sonja Zee Peterson passed away on Thursday, Oct. 25, 2007, in Las Vegas. She was born in Ragan, Neb., on Oct. 28, 1939.
Sonja worked with her children in the Taco Bell business in various capacities since the company's inception in 1982. She became a full-time member of the management team in 1988, when the family's law and accounting practices were sold. She remained active in the day-to-day affairs of the business; both quick service and full service restaurants.
Sonja's greatest joy was her grandchildren. Her favorite place to spend time when she traveled was Lahaina on the island of Maui in Hawaii. Sonja affected everyone she met with her kindness and positive way of looking at life.
She is survived by her daughter, Krystal Burge with husband Everett and their children, Crystal, Amber, Tiffany and Chad; and her son, Mark Peterson with his wife Kara and their children, Boden, Gavin and Kirsten; and Kenton Peterson, brother-in-law; and Beverly Peterson, sister-in-law. Preceding Sonja in death was her husband, Dean Peterson; grandson, Aaron Burge; as well as, her parents, Lester and Cora Hendrickson.
The family invites you to join them at Sonja's memorial service at 2 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 2, 2007, at St. Johns United Methodist Church.
