Mary Sue McDaniel of Kingman passed away peacefully at her home early Monday morning on Aug. 27, 2007, after a courageous battle with cancer. Beloved wife, mother of two, grandmother of five, great-grandmother of two and friend to many will be missed by all who knew her.
Born Aug. 19, 1930, in Comanche, Okla., she was the first of nine children born to A.G. and Ruth Wall. She married the love of her life, Charlie Andrew McDaniel, in Duncan, Okla., on July 15, 1950. Together, they traveled the United States before settling in Oxnard, Calif., where their son, Charles Andrew and daughter, Ouida Beth were born. The family moved to Camarillo, Calif., in 1964. Mary Sue enjoyed gardening, camping, fishing, bingo and dirt-bike riding with her family and friends. For nineteen years, she worked as a volunteer at The Christians Acting Together store in Camarillo. After retirement, they moved to Kingman in 2001.
Mary is survived by her husband of 57 years; her son, Chuck and his wife, Linda; her daughter, Ouida and her husband, Bob; grandsons, David McDaniel and Andy Dumaree; granddaughters, Jennifer Dumaree, Carli McDaniel and Melanie Spaniol; great-grandson, Ayden Dumaree; and great-granddaughter, Sarea McDaniel.
There will be a memorial service held at 11 a.m. on Sunday, Sept. 30, 2007, at the home of long-time friend Bernice Johnston, 1258 Clayton Court, Camarillo, Calif.
