KINGMAN - Mohave County Sheriff's Search and Rescue Units and the Department of Public Safety's Air Rescue Ranger team responded to a search and rescue call around 2 p.m. on Sunday.
Search and Rescue took the call after a 49-year-old Kingman rolled her all-terrain vehicle near Cherum Peak in the Cerbat Mountains.
Initial attempts to reach the woman with a rescue vehicle were unsuccessful due to the terrain. However, the DPS helicopter was able to locate her and her vehicle in a remote area accessible only by air or four-wheel drive vehicles.
According to DPS officials, a flight nurse and paramedic in training were dropped off about a half-mile from the accident site.
The helicopter crew was able to find a closer landing site and dropped off another paramedic. The medical crew was able to reach the woman and transport her to the helicopter.
She was flown to Kingman Regional Medical Center were she was treated for injuries to her left leg and back.
