Volleyball signups announced

KINGMAN - The Parks and Recreation Department in conjunction with Kingman Pepsi Bottling Group will host another year of junior volleyball. This league is for 4th- through 6th-grade girls, and the season lasts seven weeks.

Teams practice three days a week, with games on Saturdays. Players must be registered by Sept. 5 or the first 64 to sign up, and the cost is $20.

Metro Stars seek baseball players

KINGMAN - The Las Vegas Metro Stars Fall Scout Baseball Club will be conducting tryouts for its 16U, 18U and Super Stars (Ages 18-24) teams from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at Chaparral High School in Las Vegas.

In the past the Metro Stars have had players from Kingman and invites all players to tryout. The Metro Stars are slated to play in tournaments scouted by the Major Leagues and college recruiters as well as individual games against college baseball programs. KINGMAN - Tinnell Memorial Sports Park Committee will be hosting a Back to School competition from 3-10 p.m. Saturday at the Lake Havasu City Rotary Skatepark.
